We are a well-established boutique law firm based in New York City looking to add a Mid-Level Associate with 4-5 years' experience to our real estate team!

Real estate is one of the firm’s main practice areas, which also includes a robust and multi-faceted team of construction, litigation, employment, and corporate attorneys. You would be working on complex matters for major owners, developers, and retail tenants. The role would be substantial, in a tight-knit, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases
• Handle lease amendments, renewals, assignments, and related leasing documentation
• Manage and coordinate commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions through closing
• Draft and negotiate loan agreements, closing documents, operating agreements, joint venture agreements and related governance documents
• Conduct transactional due diligence for real estate matters
• Coordinate with lenders, brokers, title companies, and other transaction parties
• Assist with financing transactions and other complex real estate matters
• Manage client relationships and communicate effectively with internal teams

• Salary: $200,000 - $220,000 depending on experience + bonus potential

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New York State Bar
• 4 to 5 years of experience practicing real estate law
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases
• Experience handling commercial real estate closings and transactional documentation
• Experience with joint venture agreements in real estate transactions
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and client service mindset
